Are weather conditions making your hair a staticy embarrassment? Hair static can be prevented or fixed on the fly with a few clever tips.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dryer Sheets
  • Conditioner
  • Styling Products
  1. Step 1

    QUICK FIX METHOD

If static is already making your hair stand on end, it's probably too late for prevention. A quick fix can be found in a dryer sheet. Dryer sheets eliminate static and also make your hair smell wonderful. Gently pass a dryer sheet over or through your hair, being careful not to disturb your hairstyle. Static will vanish in an instant.

  2. Step 2

    PREVENT WITH CONDITIONER

If you've got a hair static problem, you have dry hair. Combat dry hair by moisturizing after your shampoo. Your hair will look healthier, shinier, and the weight of its moisture will combat the effects of static electricity.

  3. Step 3

    PREVENT WITH STYLING PRODUCTS

If hair conditioner is not the right answer for you, consider using a styling product to combat static. Mousses, gels, and even hairspray can give your hair some much needed substance. The weight and holding power of these products will keep hair static at bay.
