Things You'll Need:
- eyebrow razor
- eyebrow pencil
- mirror
- water
- conditioner (same kind you use to condition hair)
- alcohol
-
Step 1
Using the same conditioner you use to condition your hair dab a little on each eyebrow. Think of it like when you shave your legs, you use shaving cream right? Well the conditioner acts as shaving cream for your eyebrows.
-
Step 2
Stand(or sit) in front of a mirror with good lighting. Using your eye brow pencil, put it parallel with your eye and nose: between where your nostril ends and your eye begins. This is where your eyebrow should start. Draw a line to mark this spot. Do the same with the other eyebrow.
-
Step 3
Next line up your eye brow pencil where your iris ends, this is where your arch should start (where the peek should be). Mark a line there as well. Line up the arch at an angle where your iris ends.
-
Step 4
Line up the pencil at the end of your eye so that it stretches diagonally to your eyebrow. This is we're the eyebrow should end.
-
Step 5
After you've drawn your marks take the hand that you don't use for writing (if you're right handed use the left hand, if you're left handed use the right) and stretch the skin around your eyebrow so that it is a little tight. This allows you to remove more hair. You can find an eyebrow pencil at beauty supply stores or convenience stores.
-
Step 6
DO NOT rush in trying to remove the hair, especially if you've never arched your own eyebrows before. Holding the razor horizontally gently begin removing the hair that is outside of the lines you've marked. As you gradually remove hair you can decide how thick or thin you want your eyebrows to be.
-
Step 7
After you have arched that eye proceed to other eye, repeating the same steps. However, it is very IMPORTANT to match up both eyes, make sure that they are the same level and same size. The last thing you would want is uneven eyebrows.
-
Step 8
Look in the mirror and make sure that your eyebrows line up. You may also need to remove any hair that is connecting your eyebrows (uni brow).
-
Step 9
After you've arched each eyebrow dab some alcohol on a cotton swab and wipe each eyebrow. This will help to prevent the monstrosity of razor bumps.

on 12/27/2008 Interesting. I've never tried a razor- just tweezers.

on 12/26/2008 I used your tips and my eyebrows came out very nicely. I have a scar on one so I am always hesitant to try but it worked great! +5

on 12/23/2008 I have a thing for eyebrows. When I first saw Sherilyn Finn, I was in awe of her perfect arches, sounds weird, but the eyebrows can really make a face :) 5*
