Making your bubbles at home is an inexpensive way to entertain your little one and your family for hours.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • liquid detergent (not the ones for dishwashers)
  • water (distilled works the best but tap is great too)
  • Karo syrup
  • liquid measuring cup
  • 1 tablespoon and 1/2 tablespoon measuring devices
  • container for mixing
  • container(s) with lid(s) for storing
  1. Step 1

Select your liquid dish-washing soap. Dawn seems to work the best. Pour 1/4 cup into a mixing bucket, or pitcher.

  2. Step 2

Slowly add in 3/4 cup water and gently mix. Remember to keep the bubbles down to a minimum that way you'll have them for the actual bubble blowing fun.

  3. Step 3

Add 1 and 1/2 tablespoon of Karo syrup to mixture, again mixing gently but completely.

  4. Step 4

Pour your mixture into an appropriate size dish according to your bubble blowing capabilities and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use a cookie cutter to blow your bubbles through
  • Add food coloring, tempura paint, or Kool-aid to your mixture for color
  • If using with infants try using the tear-free soap
  • If used indoors the bubble solution can cause wet surfaces "slippery when wet"
  • Do not drink
  • Food coloring, tempura paint, and Kool-aid can cause staining - best used outdoors
