It also prevents or manages high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, preventing cancer, builds muscle, improves mood, reduced stress, and the list goes on.

Apply this type of small goal to every type of exercise that you do as this will help you to develop a healthy habit of exercising.

Step 5
Grab a friend to exercise with as the both of you will be able to encourage each other to exercise and do more. You will keep each other accountable on each others' goals.
-
Step 6
Sign up and train for a charity race such as a 5K or 10K run or walk as it will give you a sense of purpose because you will be doing this for not only yourself but for a purpose too.
-
Step 7
Keep records of when you exercised and the amount of time that you spent exercising. This will help you to continue to maintain goals.
-
Step 8
Listen to upbeat music while exercising as this will help to keep your mind off of the negative thoughts and at the same time helping you enjoy your time while working out.
-

Buy good shoes to exercise in that are appropriate for the type of exercising that you are doing.
