Step 1
Get beyond the blame. In order to work through the problem and proceed to a solution stop pointing fingers. This is a couple problem. The couple need to work together in order to reach a resolution. Being able to look at yourself and at the unit is essential in evaluation of the issue.

Don't sugar coat the situation. This is not the time to beat around the bush. Be sincere and honest with yourself. Be sincere and honest with your spouse. In order to deal with the problem the cause and severity of the situation must be evaluated. Now if you do not truthfully face the cause, you are wasting time. The solution could be as simple as increased communication. This is your partner which you have chosen to share your life with. Discuss the issues. Discuss your concerns. Use honesty but once again, do not place blame.

Step 3
Be open to assistance. There are some great resources out there to be explored. Perhaps the problem is medical. Has this been discussed with your primary health provider. They hear it all. No need to be shy. The internet is a fantastic resource. However on the same token be cautious with internet. The information is only as good as the supplier. Know your source and take the information with a grain of salt. Check out articles in magazines or books. There are also counselors available whom deal with these issues. Some communities offer a support or self help group. The main point is of you are not alone. This is common and it does need to be addressed.
