Get Rid of Bad Breath

Bad breath can be a had thing to fight when you are unsure of the cause. The most frequent causes of bad breath come from what we eat and drink within out diets. However, bad breath can also mean trouble with your body. This article will give simple ways to help keep your breath smelling fresh, as well as informing you of issues that may bring on bad breath.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Floss
  • Portable Toothbrush
  • Travel size mouthwash
  • Three meals a day
  • Parsley
  • Cloves, fennel, and/or anise seeds
  1. Step 1

One of the major things in your morning routine should always be flossing, most people are aware of this; However, people often do not floss after meals. Flossing after meals can help a great deal to get rid of food that can be stuck in your teeth. The food that is tucked away in the space between your back teeth is a breeding ground for bacteria.
You can find travel size floss in your local drug store or in the resource section of this article.

  2. Step 2

Along with flossing after meals brushing your teeth can be just as important. Bring along with you a travel size toothbrush, and after each meal excuse yourself to the restroom and brush your teeth. It is ideal to use toothpaste, however, this is not always necessary, it is more important to brush away the food partials that are left behind on your tooth's surface.

  3. Step 3

Travel size mouth wash is handy and effective, I would recommend using Listerine considering it has anti bacterial within its ingredients. What I love most about portable mouth wash, is when you are in a rush you can take a swag of the mouth wash and spit it out in the first garbage can you see. Is this most attractive, no, however, it is quick and ideal when you are on your way back to work or to a meeting after a small bite to eat.

  4. Step 4

Bad breath can also be caused by not eating a healthy diet, eating a meal three times a day can help with bad breath. When you do not eat meals frequently through-out the day, the acids from your stomach will let out gasses which will travel up through your body's system. Your mouth then acts like a vent for the gasses which will lead to a acid smelling breath.

  5. Step 5

Parsley is a wonderful garnish for meals at restaurants, but, did you know that it also serves as a breath freshener when chewed on? You can chew on a fresh piece of parsley after a meal, which in return will remove any bad odors from your breath.

  6. Step 6
    Fennel Seeds
    Fennel Seeds

Using spices is always fun to do, especially when they serve more than one purpose! Spices like cloves, fennel or even anise can be placed in a tiny plastic bag, to which you can turn to after eating a meal. You can chew on a small amount of these spices (which ever one you may like most) and it will help freshen your breath instantly.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember to keep water in your diet, it is a natural way to rinse your body of unwanted particles. It also helps keep your stomach clean of harmful acids which in return will end in bad breath.
  • Brushing your teeth three times a day is always recommended by your dentist, but, do not forget to brush your tongue as well. Your tongue holds bacteria from every item you drink and eat during your day.
  • Bad breath can also be a symptom of difficulties such as: cancer, tuberculosis, syphilis, dehydration, and zinc deficiency.
  • Penicillamine and lithium can also cause bad breath.
  • If you fear that your bad breath as no origin in your mind, consulting your doctor is a major step to take.
