Things You'll Need:
- You will need a juice extractor. I recommend that if you can't afford to buy a new one, ask a friend or neighbor to borrow the one they have in their kitchen cupboard. You will need a good sharp kni
-
Step 1
Have fun while you shop!Set aside three days, preferably when you don't have to go to work. Perhaps a long weekend. Use this as a time for spending quality time with yourself. Shop for the vegetables and fruits the night before: Plan on a 10 lb bag of carrots, 15 apples, 6 cucumbers, 2 bunches of parsley, 1 "hand" of ginger, 2 celery, 3 small beets, 2 bunches of spinach.
-
Step 2
Cabbage and leeks go well in the brothWhat to buy for the broth: Vegetarian broth powder, 4 potatoes, 2 carrots, one large onion, 5 cloves of garlic, handful of Dulse seaweed,
2 stalks of celery and good water. boil these items in a large spagetti or soup pan for an hour atleast. Keep on simmer, once it boils. In the evening you will need and appreciate the warm and salty taste of this broth. Add a teaspoon of broth powder to each cup that you drink, less if you have sodium issues. Just drink the broth. Do not eat the vegetables. -
Step 3
Juices for Your Health and VitalityDon't worry about putting too much juice into your body. Each day you will need about 32 oz of fruit and vegetable juices, then another 32 oz of water, broth and tea. The more liquid, the more you will release the toxins through your body.
-
Step 4
Chill out at the beach!During this healthy weekend, plan to rest. Light exercise such as walking and yoga are great. Get some fresh air. Open windows and enjoy how the fresh air feels when you breathe deeply. Wear very comfortable clothes, loose fitting or yoga outfits work well. Nothing constricting. You are to allow your body to just be. You may, for example, experience some gas....let it come. The next step will take care of that.
-
Step 5
Listen to your body. Drink when you get hungry during this period. You will see that the liquid is very satisfying. Your mind will complain, for sure. Just keep drinking, peeing and pooping. :)
If you feel very constipated, you may want to do an enema or go and get a colon hydrotherapy treatment.
