How to Make An Apple Cheesecake

With the fall season comes apples and now is the time to try this great apple cheesecake recipe. Many people think cheesecakes are difficult to make, but this one is very easy and is a delicious finish to a fall dinner.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon; divided
  • 3 Tbsp. butter; melted
  • 16 ozs. cream cheese; softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 4 cups peeled, thinly sliced apples (about 2 1/2 pounds)
  • 1/2 cup pecans; chopped
  1. Step 1

    Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Step 2

    Combine the graham cracker crumbs, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and butter in a small bowl. Mix well.

  3. Step 3

    Press graham cracker crumb mixture onto bottom and sides of a 9 inch spring-form pan and bake for 10 minutes.

  4. Step 4

    Beat cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar together in large bowl until well blended. Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition. Add vanilla. Pour mixture into baked pie crust.

  5. Step 5

    Combine 1/3 cup sugar and remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Toss apples in sugar/cinnamon mixture to coat.

  6. Step 6

    Spoon apple mixture over cream cheese mixture and sprinkle with pecans.

  7. Step 7

    Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until set.

  8. Step 8

    Loosen cake from pan rim. Cool before removing rim of pan. Refrigerate.
