Things You'll Need:
- a covered storage container or cupboard
- clear cellophane wrapping paper
- baskets, or gift bags
- shredded confetti paper
-
Step 1
NEVER give a gift back to the giver. Either put a Post-It on the gift or keep a list consisting of: items, givers and the dates. You don't want to second guess who it came from.
-
Step 2
NEVER regift something that has expired.
-
Step 3
NEVER Regift an item that might be missed by a visiting friend or family member. If you don't like it, store it. You don't want to offend someone close.
-
Step 4
Keep your regiftable items in a cupboard. Don't put them on a shelf where they can get dusty, crushed, or in some way worn out. Dust is a dead give away!
-
Step 5
Assemble multiple small items to create giftbaskets. Use shredded paper confetti for padding the bottom of the basket and clear cellophane wrapping for over the basket.
-
Step 6
Keep the items in their original boxes and double check that price tags and original gift tags are removed.
-
Step 7
Mix and match regiftable items with new items for a personal touch.

on 12/24/2008 It does suck when someone gives YOU back what you've given THEM; so be pragmatic with this practice!

on 11/25/2008 post-its are a must! I once gave a picture frame that said " best teacher" to my friend who was a teacher, it turned out she had given it to me 3 years before.
