How to get rid of fleas

An arduous task at best but with diligence you can get rid of those pesky fleas.

Things You'll Need:

• Zodiac flea spray for floors and furniture, Zodiac bath for dogs and cats, a vacuum with attachments, bug bombs, plastic trash bags.

1. Bath your animals and remove them from the house. Make sure to cover all food products ( I like to put anything opened in the fridge) and items you eat with or that small children play with. Follow the manufacturers instructions on the bug bombs and set them off.

2. After airing the house you can begin vacuuming. Make sure to get under all of the furniture and under cushions on couches and chairs. Vacuum mattresses and wash all bedding and clothing that may have been infested.

3. Put down a insect repellant around the perimeter of your house to keep any new bugs from entering and spray the carpeting and furniture. Remember to get the closets and attics as well basement areas.

Tips & Warnings

• After a few days bath your animals again and use a lice comb (the metal ones preferably)and tweezers to get any left over fleas. It's important to get all of the fleas. Vets do not dip animals anymore (the ones in my area won't any way) so a repeat bath is important even if the flea shampoo instructions say otherwise.
• Be careful to follow the manufacturers instructions on use of all insect bombs.
