How to Make a Taco Bell Mexican Pizza
Taco Bell's website does not say exactly what goes into its Mexican Pizza. There are plenty of guesses on the Internet, but most of them involve flour tortillas, refried beans and a double cheese blend. The pizza also has sliced black olives, but you can leave those out if you wish. It should take about 30 minutes to prepare and bake the pizza. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 3 tbsp. taco seasoning
- 2 tbsp. salsa
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 cup shredded cheddar & Monterey Jack cheese blend
- 1 cup refried beans, warmed
- 8 small flour tortillas
Instructions
-
-
1
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Brown the ground beef, taco seasoning and 2 tbsp. of water in a skillet on medium-high. Break up the meat while it cooks. It should be done in 5 minutes.
-
2
Fry the tortillas for 30 to 45 seconds or until they are golden brown for each side.
-
-
3
Spread about 1/3 cup of the refried beans on the top side of one tortilla. On another tortilla, spread 1/4 to 1/3 cup of the meat, then add another tortilla and keep stacking them.
-
4
Coat the pizzas with 2 tbsp. of salsa. Divide the tomatoes and stack them on top. Divide the cheese, onions and any optional items like the olives, and stack them in that order.
-
5
Heat the pizza in the oven for about 15 minutes or until the cheese melts.
-
6
Wait five minutes to cut the pizza. The pizza can fall apart if it is cut while it is still hot.
