Conduct a Job Search
Conduct a Job Search

You may be aware of all the advice that follows. This how-to simply serves as a reminder.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Determine the characteristics, qualities, and experience interviewers are seeking. Then revisit your resume and tailor your experience to suit the interviewers needs.

  2. Step 2

Continue your job search until you receive a written job offer. Verbal ones aren't enough.

  3. Step 3

Record the companies you send your resume to. There's nothing less attractive than having a jobseeker say, where are you from? I sent my resume to so many places I can't keep track.

  4. Step 4

Emails are informal, but during the interview process leave common shorthand behind and write full sentences.

  5. Step 5

When you are searching for a job and the phone rings, turn down the volume of your television and remove kids from the room.
