a Classic Caesar salad that complements almost any dinner or lunch. quick and easy to make. easy clean up too!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Garlic crusher
  • knife
  • salad bowl for ingredients
  • small mixing bowl for dressing
  • grated parmesan cheese (works better)
  • 1 head of Romaine per 2 people
  • 1 green onion
  • crutons (if you choose)
  • anchovy paste (optional)
  • about 1-2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4-6 tbs olive oil
  • whisk
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  1. Step 1

Take out all your ingredients, and instruments, and arrange on counter top.

  2. Step 2

in small mixing bowl, add olive oil and Worcestershire sauce.

  3. Step 3

cut garlic in half, rub inside of large bowl with garlic juices, and turn upside down

  4. Step 4

crush garlic into small mixing bowl with olive oil and worcestershire sauce

  5. Step 5

    whisk. let sit.

  6. Step 6

    shred lettuce into large bowl.

  7. Step 7

when all lettuce is shredded add parmesan. you can, of course, add more later if what you add now is not enough.

  8. Step 8

now back to the olive oil mixture. whisk it one more time, so that all the oils and things are mixed well, then gently whisk into/onto salad, circling the bowl until all your dressing covers the whole salad.

  9. Step 9

i also add lemon juice from half a small lemon.

  10. Step 10

    toss and serve! =)

Tips & Warnings
  • i didn't add anchovy paste or green onions
  • the anchovy paste is added to the dressing, about 2 tsp.
  • green onions weren't added because i didn't have any =)
  • sometimes the less garlic the better. 1 good sized clove or two tiny ones. too much garlic and you miss the other flavors. =/
