The best way to keep current is to set up your computer so that it automatically downloads and installs updates as they become available. If you don't have your computer set up that way, the following are ways to do it.

To change your Windows computer setup to automatically update, click the Start button, click All Programs and then click Windows Update. Select Change Settings and choose how you want Windows to install updates.

On a Mac, you can go to the Apple menu and choose Software Update. However, to make it happen automatically, go to System Preferences. In the Software Update pane you can check to have the Mac check daily, weekly or monthly for updates.

Mac OS X 10.5 and later allows you set Software Update to download updates automatically. Once the update is downloaded, you will see a notice asking you if you want to install immediately. If you will need to restart the computer after installing, you will be told in advance so you can finish whatever you are doing before you complete the install.
