Things You'll Need:
- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 gallon water
- 1/2 cup pickling salt
- 1 tbsp of tenderquick
- 1/2 cup honey(tupelo or sourwood is best)
- 1/2 lb hickory smoked bacon

Step 1
fry 1/2 lb of bacon reserving the drippings. microwave works great. If using stove be careful not to burn bacon.

Step 2
add bacon grease, butter, water, pickling spice, tenderquick to pot on stove and bring to boil stirring continuously.

Step 3
let mixture cool to 160 degrees and add honey.
