Step 1
Think positively and focus on the lighter side of life. Instead of focusing on the pain and symptoms of Fibromyalgia, think about things that make you happy and bring out a smile on your face.
-
Step 2
Stretch out the body several times a day to keep the muscles and joints active. Consider taking a Yoga or Tai Chi class as this will help to keep the body stay flexibility and relieve some of the pressure in the joints and muscles.
-
Step 3
Add herbal supplements to your daily healthy diet that will focus on reducing the symptoms in your body. Consult with your medical physician before attempting to add these to ensure safety.

on 6/14/2009 Great article - I have used a lot of these techniques but it's been a while since I tried Tai Chi. Maybe I'll try that again. 5*

on 3/17/2009 I suffer with Fibro and have found that ice packs go a long way towards easing knotted muscles. For some moist heat has the same effects but for me that causes more pain and fatigue of the muscles. Thank you for the tips

on 10/11/2008 Good article. I can't imagine the level of pain that the people with this disorder have to cope with. I love Tai Chi - it can help.
