  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 6 more tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons buttermilk
  • Sprinkle of granulted sugar
  • Whipped cream
  1. Step 1

    Heat oven to 400 degrees.

In a 13 by 9 by 2 inch baking dish, mix together the peaches, brown sugar, flour, and lemon juice and cinnamon.

Add the beaten egg and the buttermilk.

    Stir to blend.

Remove the peaches from the oven.

  3. Step 3

Spread the batter over the peaches.

    Sprinkle with granulated sugar.

Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until the juice is thick and bubbly.

  4. Step 4

    Remove from oven.

    Place on rack.

Serve warm or cold, topped with whipped cream. Enjoy!
