How to Create a New Gmail Account

If you need a new email account that is free, Gmail is just one of many options you can use. An Internet-based email account, such as Gmail, has the advantage that you can access your email from any location, whether you're at work or out of the office.

Instructions

1. Navigate to the Gmail homepage (gmail.com).

2. Click on the "Sign up for Gmail" link, located in the lower right-hand side of the screen. An account setup page will open.

3. Fill out your username, password and city in the appropriate fields.

4. Click on the button labeled "I accept. Create my account." A message confirming that your account has been created will appear. You can now log in to your account and receive email.
