Everyone using the Windows operating system has to start somewhere, right? Here is a simple tutorial on how to install new fonts with Windows.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  1. Step 1

Click on your Start menu and open the Control Panel. Find your Fonts folder. Once you do, right click on it.

  2. Step 2

In the pop-up menu that should appear, choose Create Shortcut. Place this shortcut on your Desktop. You may receive an error stating that you cannot place a shortcut in this folder (of course you can't, this is where the original file is located and defeats the purpose of a shortcut), so ignore it and place it on the Desktop.

  3. Step 3

Find your Send To folder. Typically speaking, this folder will be found like this:

    C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Send To

  4. Step 4

Place the shortcut of your Fonts folder into the Send To folder. Now, anytime you install new fonts, just highlight the fonts, right click and choose Send To -- Fonts. That's all there is to it!
