Adobe Photoshop is the premier image editing tool used by professionals and freelance graphic designers alike. Here is a brief tutorial on how to create a dissolve on any text you make.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Open Adobe Photoshop. Go to File, then click New. Choose a white background and any width and height for your canvas. Use RGB color mode. Leave it as Untitled, this is just a simple tutorial!

  2. Step 2

Find the Text tool, its symbol is the letter T. Click inside your white canvas and type in the words "Dissolve This".

  3. Step 3

Then go to your Layers menu and highlight the layer with the text on it -- it will have the name "Dissolve This" if that is what you typed in. Right click the layer and go to Blending Options.

  4. Step 4

In Blending Options, under General Blending, go to Blend Mode. Right underneath the default Normal setting, choose Dissolve. Now with the horizontal Opacity bar, choose how much white will show within the dissolve. Customize it according to your own preferred settings.
