Pay Per Click Ad

A Pay per Click Ad program is one of the best ways to advertise a website on the internet. Regardless of the product, this type of service can prove to be a very productive method for web advertising and drive a lot of revenue for your website.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide on a pay per click ad publisher. The largest one on the web is Google Adsense, however there are many other aspiring companies providing great services for web business advertising. Sign up with the company that best suits your needs.

  2. Step 2

Create your pay per click ad. You need to have your URL, a title and a short phrase. Your ad should be something catchy, but honest. You want to draw in the consumer to click your ad without misleading them. If a consumer is misled by clicking on your ad, you spent money to get them there, but they won't spend money on your site.

  3. Step 3

Choose keywords related to the product. This will determine what types of sites the ads will show up on. Some ad services search the content of the site and position ads based on that data. Others simply pair keywords from the pay per click ad with keywords provided by the advertisers.

  4. Step 4

The way a pay per click ad works is you decide on a certain amount that you are willing to pay for a click on your ad. This amount is 'bid' against other people requesting the same words. Whoever has the highest bid at the time that someone views a webpage will get their ad placed. You will be charged for the click only if someone chooses to click the ad.

  5. Step 5

Once these decisions are made, you are ready to start having your pay per click ad published. You will need to decide on a max you are willing to spend per month. Once you have met that amount, your ads will not show on anyone's site for the rest of the month. Some ad agencies will distribute them evenly through the month if there is enough statistical data from your keywords to warrant this action.

  6. Step 6

Typically you will be billed monthly for by the ad service for any clicks made on your pay per click ad.
