Fresh pasta is do delicious. This recipe highlights the pasta by topping it with simple ingredients. SO say NO TO THE JAR of red sauce; make it light and simple!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 pound fresh pasta
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry oregeno
  • 1 can (14.5 oz.) chopped Tomatoes
  • 2 Tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/8 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
  • Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • Stock pot
  • Large skillet
  1. Step 1
     

    Fill stock pot with water. Bring to boil. Cook the fresh pasta.
    Drain and set aside.

  2. Step 2

    Pour olive oil into skillet set on medium heat. Add onion; saute for 5 minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Add crushed garlic; saute for one minute. Add oregano, black pepper and red pepper flakes.

    Add canned tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoe juice is reduced by half.

    Add fresh basil. Stir to mix.

  6. Step 6

    Add cooked pasta; stir to combine.
    Top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
