A fall tradition at any party. Serve this warm spicy goodness to your grown-up friends.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 gallon of apple cider
  • 10 cloves
  • 10 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/4 teaspoon orange rind
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 750 ml of dark rum
  1. Step 1

Pour the Apple cider into a large sauce pan.

  2. Step 2

Add all of the spices and slowly bring to a boil over medium heat.

  3. Step 3

Once the mixture has come to a boil reduce the heat to medium-low and let the cider cool down before you add the dark rum. Don't add alcohol to boiling hot cider or the alcohol content will evaporate.

  4. Step 4

Leave cups and a ladle near the simmering pot of cider for guests to serve themselves and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • The aroma is extra nice in your house for the next few days.
  • You can put the cloves in a tea ball so that guests won't have to fish them out when sipping.
  • 21+ please.
