Things You'll Need:
- 3c cabbage strips
- 1c thinly sliced carrots
- 1/2c chopped onions
- 3 medium potatoes diced
- 1/4c chopped green bell pepper
- 1/2tsp vegetable shortening
- 1tbsp water
- Salt to taste
- 1 medium sauce pan/skillet with lid
- Paper towels

Step 1
Peel and wash 3 medium potatoes, then dice them.

Wash and thinly slice enough carrots to equal 1 cup.

Remove and discard the outer leaves of the cabbage head, then cut off a chunk and slice into strips.

Peel and chop onion.

Wash the bell pepper and dry it with a paper towel, then chop enough to equal 1/4 cup.

Add vegetable shortening and water to the medium sauce pan/skillet.

Add vegetables and salt to taste.

Cover suace pan/skillet with lid and place over low to medium low heat until vegetables are tender.

Serve with your favorite side dish and enjoy.
