make a skeleton out of noodles in art class

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

First, pass out noodles to students. I use wheel noodles for the head, elbow noodles for the ribs, elbows and knees. For the arms and legs I use the straight tube noodles. I also use the thin spaghetti noodles broken into small pieces for the fingers and toes.

  2. Step 2

Have a completed skeleton ready to show the class and draw one on the board just so they could see where each noodle should be placed.

  3. Step 3

students will now glue the noodles onto a piece of construction paper. Make sure to tell them to keep the paper flat so the glue can dry.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep the paper flat.
  • Some children have a hard time with the smaller noodles so be available or have a student helper.
  • A more aggressive glue may have to be used but I usually just have the kids use Elmers.
  • If you are using a stronger glue beware of the fumes
