How to Make Puerto Rican Rice

Do you love Puerto Rican Food??.. Well me too.. Growing up in a Very Proud Puerto Rican family.. I have learned to cook my favorite dishes and would like to share with you..

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Annatto and Corn Oil
  • Long Grain White Rice
  • Chicken Stock
  • Salt to taste
  1. Step 1

    * 2 T Annatto Oil combines with 1 T Corn Oil
    * 2 1/2 C Rice
    * 4 to 4 1/2 C Chicken Stock
    * 2 t Salt

  2. Step 2

    Heat the oil in a saucepan with a tight fitting lid.

  3. Step 3

    Add the rice and stir to combine.

  4. Step 4

    Stir in the Chicken stock and salt.

  5. Step 5

    Bring to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer.

  6. Step 6

    Cover and cook over a low heat for 20 minutes, when done wait about 10 minutes before stirring.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can play with this.. You can add a little onion and garlic into the oil to flavor the oil.. And Pieces of Ham. Chicken, Vienna Sausage into the rice as its cooking.. Use your imagination.. Enjoy..!!
