Things You'll Need:
- leaves
- paper
- glue
- crayon
- scissors
-
Step 1
Take a walk with your kids anywhere and pick some leaves.
Or when or if you happen to be out alone just grab a few leaves. Even if you can get only 2 leaves is fine.
You can always trace the leaves on a few pieces of paper and end up with a lot. -
Step 2
You can now do so much with your leaves you can draw a tree and have your kids paste the leaves to where they like on the tree.
Or you can have them color out the ones that were cut out from the paper and then glue them onto the tree. -
Step 3
Always encourage your children to use different colors and patterns to what they are doing and encourage them to count the leaves as well . ( THIS IS A GOOD LEARNING EXERCISE )
And display their work it makes them eager to do more projects and teaches them about colors and these small projects really do develop their fine motor skills. Also if doing this with older children they can be the one to trace and make extra leaves and also draw the trees for their younger siblings.
