How to Make a Day Better

For adults with disabilities, making a day better, may be as simple as baking cookies with them.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • cookbook
  • cooking utensils
  • giving heart
  • ingredients for the type of cookes they choose to make.
Step1
Ask your helper if he'd like to wear an apron. Tell your helper, if he wears it, he'll feel like a chef.
Step2
Show the person cooking you value their opinions, like would you like peanut butter, or chocolate chips for the ingredients in the cookies.
Step3
Ask the chef if he'd like to pour everyone a glass of milk, with their cookie. When serving the cookies, give your helper lots of praise.

Tips & Warnings

  • Let your helper make as many decisions as possible.
  • If you know your helper panics easy tell him everyone needs help sometimes, especially, when using the oven.
