Things You'll Need:

Step 1
original photoFirst, open the picture you want to edit. File/Open. Click on the image file.

Go to Filter/Extract. a new window will appear with your image in it. on the left is a toolbar. Click on the magnifying glass and click on the area you want to cutout to zoom in (Atl click to unzoom).

Click on the highlighter at the top of the tool bar. Now on the right side if another toolbar, choose the Brush Size you'd like to use. Then click on Smart Highlighting.

Now trace the edge of the portion you want to keep. Make sure there are no breaks in the lines.

when you're done tracing the image you want to keep, click the Fill button (looks like a bucket), and fill in the area you want to keep. Only the traced out portion should highlight. If the whole picture highlights, then something is wrong. Hit "Ctrl Z" to undo the Fill, and fix your trace lines. Check for breaks, etc.

cut outOnce you have the area that you want to keep filled in, click ok, and there you go.
