Ants are very friendly little pests that get into everything if you are not careful. I don't want to harm my family in the process of getting rid of these little creatures. Vinegar is the wonder cleaner for so many things, including getting rid of ants. Does this Spark an idea?

  • White Vinegar

      1. Mix half vinegar and half water in your spray bottle.

      2. Spray wherever you see the ants. It is a good idea to follow the trail of ants to see where they are coming from so you can hit the source.

      3. Make sure you spray your counter tops with vinegar solution each night to get rid of crumbs and spills. Ants are attracted to scents and will come running if there is anything left behind.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use zip lock bags to put your open food in like cookies, crackers etc. These will keep the ants out of your food.

  • Make sure you clean out the kitchen sink each night also and spray the sink with your vineger solution.

  • The smell of vinegar will go away in a few minutes.

  • The good thing about vinegar is that it isn't harmful to your children and it is easy to get from the grocery store.

    I have been doing this the last couple of days. My kitchen is clean, really! (There was, like, one couscous on the floor.) Vinegar does work, but you have to use it for a while before the last of those ants retreats... Thanks! 5*
