Tomatoes are not only delicious on their own or as toppings, but also are particularly beneficial to your health. Tomatoes are high in lycopene, an antioxidant that helps fight free radicals. If you want more boom for your bite, you'll need to grow bigger tomatoes.

      Purchase the desired number of tomato plants. Remove the tomato plants from the cell packs or pot. Gently loosen the roots of each plant and set aside.

      Dig a hole for each tomato plant. Make the holes three inches wider and deeper than the root ball. Loosen the soil.

      Spoon 2 teaspoons of Epsom salt into each hole.

      Sprinkle about an inch of dirt on top of the Epsom salt. The salt need to be completely covered. If left exposed and the roots of the tomato plants touch the Epsom salts, the roots will burn.

      Gently put one tomato plant in each hole and cover the roots with dirt. Pat firmly and water well.
