A leaking pen can ruin your favorite shirt if you don't know what to do to lift the ink out of the fabric. However, ballpoint ink is not impossible to remove. As with any stain removal method, test a small inconspicuous area of the item before treating to be sure it is colorfast.
Using any type of hairspray, spray the stain until saturated.
Next rub the stain and hairspray with a bar of soap.
Rinse in cold water. Then launder as usual.
