The average American lives a busy, stressful life. I believe it is important to break from your daily routine and just relax. By relaxing, you will feel refreshed and ready for your next challenge. Do not let your burdens overwhelm you!This would only slow down your progress in the long run. As easy as relaxing may sound, it is surprising that people don't do it more often when they need to.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Yourself
Step1
Make time. This is the most important step. Plan a time where you can dedicate to just yourself. Make this a priority for you.
Step2
Go somewhere where you will be secluded or a strange/unfamiliar place. Ideas can be: Parks, beaches, your room, etc. Wherever you feel most comfortable and alone, go there
Step3
Turn off your cell phone, pagers, laptops, and all other distractions. Tell others that you will be busy for your given amount of time. Set an alarm so that you will not overdo your relaxation time.
Step4
Clear your thoughts and allow yourself to drift. Basically: do nothing. Make sure you don’t fall asleep. You can concentrate on your breathing if your mind is being too chaotic. Light nature sounds can also help you.
