The Candy Bar That Hooked Me!
The Candy Bar That Hooked Me!

Recently, I succumbed to temptation and purchased one of the best coffee and chocolate flavored candy bars I have ever had. As if Starbucks didn't already have me hooked on their coffee, I am now an official addict of their Mocha Dark Chocolate Candy Bar. Recently I experimented with a brownie recipe from www.glutenfreegirl.blogspot.com and this candy bar. What follows if a recipe that is sure to become a favorite among gluten eaters and avoiders alike!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 stick of butter
  • 4 ozs of Starbucks Mocha Dark Chocolate Candy Bar
  • 3/4 cup of gluten free flour mixture
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  1. Step 1

Break the chocolate into small pieces. Place into a microwave-safe bowl with the butter. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between each interval, until chocolate is melted. This step generally takes 1 minute. Be careful not to overcook the chocolate.

  2. Step 2

In a seperate bowl, mix together the flour and sugar until blended. Add eggs, vanilla, and salt.

  3. Step 3

Place in sink filled with ice water to cool.

Remove from oven and immediately place in a ice water. This will stop the cooking process and give you fudgy brownies with a flaky top crust.

  6. Step 6

Cool and serve or refrigerate overnight. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • I use Domata Living Flour for all my gluten-free baked goods.
  • Fill sink with an inch or two of cold water. Add ice cubes. Place pan in sink to cool. Be careful not to splash water onto the brownies.
  • I use a metal pan for the recipe. I do not know if a glass or stone pan would shatter when placed in cold water. I am not brave enough to find out!!!
