With thousands of nail polish shades out there, how can you pick the right shade for you and your personal style? Follow these tips to find your perfect shade.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Always consider your wardrobe when choosing a nailpoish color. Do you tend to wear more neutral colors like blacks, whites or browns? If so, you may want to go with a bright color that can be compliemntary to neutrals such as a pink or red shade. If you tend to wear bright color clothes then you are safer sticking to a neutral color. You don't want to pick any flashy colors that will clash with the color in your clothing. Stick to neutral lights shades like cream or baby pinks.

  2. Step 2

Change your shades with every season. In the fall, brown shades are complimentary. In the summer light colors or a french manicure compliment tanned skin. Corals and plums also work great when you have a little extra coloring.

  3. Step 3

Your environment will sometimes dictate your polish colors. If you work in a professional and somewhat conservative environment a french manicure is usually the way to go.
