How to Align the Print Cartridge on the HP Photosmart A610 Printer

The HP Photosmart A610 printer allows you to print color photos from the memory card of your digital camera. Using special photo paper and a color print cartridge, you can create color prints that are just as great as the photo development center at the store. When you put a new print cartridge into the printer, make sure the print cartridge is aligned.

Instructions

1. Turn the HP Photosmart A610 printer on. The printer should automatically align the print cartridge when it is first loaded into the printer, but you can do it again if you notice problems, such as when you notice the colors are misaligned.

2. Load the proper photo paper into the input tray. The manufacturer recommends HP Advanced Photo Paper.

3. Press the "Menu" button on the printer's control panel.

4. Select "Tools" and "OK."

5. Select "Align Cartridge" and "OK." This should realign the print cartridge and your photos should come out looking perfect.
