Instructions

    • 1

Using an abrasive sponge, wash the entire surface with soap and water. This will remove dirt and residue that isn't heavily set in.

    • 2

Coat the entire frame with a lime-cleaning agent. Use a soft rag to spread it across the surface. Be sure to get the sides of the frame as well as the front, because they are very viewable from different angles.

    • 3

Soak a toothbrush in the lime-cleaning agent, and use it to scrub out cracks and crevices in the frame. You may have to use quite a bit of pressure to remove all residue.

    • 4

Rinse the frame with water, and wait for several minutes while it dries.

    • 5

Coat the frame with metal polish. AN easy way to spread the polish is by using a microfiber rag. Also, if you work with small amounts of polish at a time, it is much easier to keep the coat thin and even. Once the first coat is dried, you may apply more coats as desired. The objective is just to keep the polish looking clear and clean, and to prevent streaks from forming.

    • 6

After the final coat has fully dried, gently rub down the frame with a leather shammy. This will bring out the full shine of the frame.

Tips & Warnings

  • Allow an extensive amount of time for the lime-cleaning agent to soak into stains on the frame before scrubbing.

  • Be cautious around pinch points when working on motorcycles.
