Guest Signature Picture Frame

A guest signature picture frame allows you to place an 8-by-10 photo inside a frame so guests can sign their names on the border of the frame using an engraving scribe. It’s a much more attractive and unique idea than simply having your guests sign a guestbook, because it makes a great display piece. It’s very popular at weddings, but will work for almost any celebration, including bridal showers, anniversaries, graduations, going-away parties—just about any time you want a memorable keepsake from a special occasion.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Obtain the frame and scribe from your favorite arts and crafts store, or purchase online from the links below.

  2. Step 2

Insert your photo into the frame. Depending on the occasion, you could take the picture during the event and put it in the frame later.

  3. Step 3

Select a high traffic area to place your small table. Look for a location that your guests must walk by, perhaps close to the entrance. Place the frame and engraving scribe on the table.

  4. Step 4

Write a brief note inviting each guest to use the engraving scribe to sign the frame. Place the note on the table next to the frame.

  5. Step 5

Sign it yourself first. Your guests will feel more comfortable seeing that they are not the first ones to sign it.

Tips & Warnings
  • After all your guests have arrived, check to see if they’ve all signed it. If not, bring the frame and scribe to them and politely request their signatures.
