There are many products on the market today to choose from when you are searching for a hardwood floor cleaner. One option that works well is OrangeGlow Hardwood Floor 2 in 1 Clean and Shine. Cleaning floors with OrangeGlow keeps them shining all month long.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Remove all loose dirt by dust mopping, sweeping or vacuuming. If the loose dirt is not properly removed you will be pushing it around the floor the whole time you are cleaning, making the work more difficult. Move some or all of the furniture out of the way so your entire floor gets an even polish and shine.

  2. Step 2

Gather your dust mop and cleaning pads. Before applying the OrangeGlow Hardwood Floor Cleaner, dampen your dust mop to make the product application smoother. The makers of OrangeGlow Hardwood Floor Cleaner advise that you use the OrangeGlow dust mop when applying their product. But, you can find other dust mops on the market such as the Swiffer WetJet that do the job adequately.

  3. Step 3

Test an inconspicuous area of the floor and allow it to dry for 15 minutes. OrangeGlow Hardwood Floor cleaner is not for use on unsealed, unfinished, waxed or oiled hardwood floors and could cause discoloration. If the cleaner causes discoloration of any sort you need to discontinue use. It is better to check beforehand because a damaged floor finish is difficult to repair.

  4. Step 4

Squirt the cleaner directly from the bottle onto a 4 foot by 4 foot section of the floor. Using your dust mop, evenly spread the cleaner with long strokes, following the wood grain. Move on to the next section and repeat the process. The floors will dry in approximately 15 minutes; stay off of them. Any contact with the floors causes smudging.

  5. Step 5

Use OrangeGlow Hardwood Floor Cleaner once a month to keep your floors shining like new. For daily cleaning, use either OrangeGlow Hardwood Floor Daily Cleaner or whatever daily hardwood floor cleaner you prefer.
