There are several ways to send international text messages. While you can use your cell phone, you can also use several Internet services to send messages to those abroad.

Write a text message as usual. Remember that text messages cannot exceed more than 140 characters.

When prompted to insert a receiver, select the option on your phone that allows you to enter a new recipient.

Add the number by putting in 011, the country code and the phone number where you want to send the message.

Send your text message.

Send your text message online if you don't have a cell phone. Websites such as Ipipi and AnonTxt allow you to send text messages to international recipients online.

Not all international wireless carriers accept text messages. Check with your cell phone company to see which carriers accept international text messages.
