Disguise a Small Christmas Gift

Christmas is a memorable time for countless families around the globe. Exchanging gifts is a tradition in many households during the holiday season. Gifts can come in all shapes and sizes, from a small coin to a massive vehicle. One of the best parts of giving a gift is knowing that it is a surprise. Hiding a small gift inside a larger package can disguise the present, making sure the recipient has no idea what lies inside.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Gift
  • Boxes
  • Packing material
  • Tape
  • Wrapping paper
  • Ribbon
  • Label
  1. Step 1

Decide what type of packing material to use. Heavier gifts need a heavier type of packing material such as newspaper or packing peanuts, while a lighter gift will do fine with lightweight plastic air packs.

  2. Step 2

Put your gift in the smallest box you have. Surround the gift securely with packing material. Tape the box closed to keep your gift secure.

  3. Step 3

Place this box inside a slightly larger box. Set your gift in the middle of the larger box and stuff the space in between with packing material. Tape the box closed.

  4. Step 4

Repeat this process until your gift is packed inside five or six larger boxes. Your gift will now be packed in a box much larger than the original and will be very misleading.

  5. Step 5

Wrap your gift in paper of your choice, and decorate it with ribbon. Make sure all of the wrapping is secure. Apply your label so you remember to whom it belongs.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use enough packing material to keep your gift from shifting or making noise. You want your present to be a total surprise, and a gift that makes no sound is always a mystery.
  • Do not use small parts in gifts for children. They can easily swallow small pieces.
