Things You'll Need:
- Nunchaku
-
Step 1
Face your opponent in an overhand nunchaku ready stance. Stand with your right leg forward. Your right arm is in the shape of an "L," like you are flexing your biceps. The top stick of your nunchaku is in your right hand. Your nunchaku is hanging down behind your right arm. Hold the bottom stick of the nunchaku with your left hand which is across the front of your body and under your arm pit.
-
Step 2
Wait for your opponent to swing his nunchaku at you. Pay close attention to the direction and speed of the swinging nunchaku. This technique works best if your opponent is swinging his nunchaku downward or across his body with his opposite side hand.
-
Step 3
Release your nunchaku with your left hand and swing it down and across your body with your right hand. Hit the chain of your opponent's nunchaku with the chain of your nunchaku. This will tangle both nunchaku together.
-
Step 4
Follow through and complete your swing down and across your body. This will yank the nunchaku out of your opponent's hand. It is important that you have superior swinging force and grip on your nunchaku. If you don't, you may be the one who loses his nunchaku.
-
Step 5
Loop your nunchaku up and around as your bring it to shoulder height. Your opponent's nunchaku will still be wrapped in your nunchaku. Your opponent will be leaning forward grasping for the nunchaku he just lost.
-
Step 6
Swing back down and across. Strike your opponent hard with your back swing. Since his nunchaku is still tangled in yours, you will actually be hitting your opponent with his own weapon. Reflect on the poetic justice of this kind of payback.
