Step 1
Use extra wreaths as centerpieces and side pieces. A pretty fir or holly wreath looks great on the door, but it also makes a wonderful seasonal decoration. Place a hurricane candle in the middle of a wreath, and you have a quick, easy and beautiful holiday display.
-
Step 2
Wrap pictures as Christmas presents. Cover pictures that hang on your wall with wrapping paper and Christmas ribbon for an instant holiday wall display. At the end of the season, unwrap them and you are back to your original decor in less than 5 minutes.
-
Step 3
This vase holds tinsel, gold balls and a short strand of lights.Use extra ornaments to create holiday candle gardens and vase displays. Placing Christmas tree ornaments around your regular candle centerpiece or in large vases is a great way to make the most out of extra decorations and add discreet holiday flair to any room.

Step 4
Let it snow. Mix a teaspoon of liquid dish soap with any metallic acrylic paint (craft paint). Then, sponge paint pretty snowflakes on your windows for a shiny, old-fashioned holiday effect. The paint will come off with window cleaner.
-
Step 5
Use last year's lights outdoors. Every year you probably accumulate additional strands of holiday lights, often due to the fact that one or more of the bulbs in older strands are out and it is easier to replace the strand than figure out which bulb is the problem. While gaping holes in the lights on your tree are obvious, you can simply arrange the lights on outdoor bushes to hide the affected part of the strand and get multiple more years use out of the "ruined" lights.
