Many shutterbugs are turning to home photo printers because they are convenient and produce quality images. Many printers, such as the HP Photosmart A610 printer, allows users to get creative and adjust photo size and color and add elements such as frames and a date/time stamp. The HP Photosmart A610 printer even makes your photos look better with the Photofix feature, which can sharpen blurry images, reduce red eye and lighten up dark areas. However, if you want your photos left as is, learn how to turn this feature on and off.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Check the default. Photofix is on by default when you turn on the HP Photosmart A610 printer. You can make sure by looking at the Photofix light on the Photofix button. This button is located on the printer control panel at the bottom left.

  2. Step 2

    Press the Photofix button.

  3. Step 3

Look at the printer screen. You should see a message that lets you know the Photofix feature has been turned off. The feature will remain off unless you press the button again or turn the printer off and on.

  4. Step 4

Turn on the Photofix feature. By pressing the Photofix button again, you'll bring up a message on the printer screen that will inform you the feature has been reactivated.

Tips & Warnings
