Creating your own greeting cards can bring a more personalized touch to whatever holiday event you're celebrating.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

With an 8-by-11 inch piece of paper, write your message or draw your image. Afterward, fold it in half (horizontal) and make two small incisions an inch from the center line on both the left and right sides.

  2. Step 2

On a separate sheet of paper, draw your first 3-D image that will fold out from the card. As shown in the diagram, be sure to leave two ends so that you can attach it to the inside of the card. Fold this image in half as well so that it will fold correctly inside the card.

  3. Step 3

With your 3-D image, insert the ends into the incisions on the card. Glue the folded parts of your ends to the back so the image doesn't slip out.

  4. Step 4

With a second sheet of paper, fold that in half and apply another image or write another message. Like a regular card, fold it in half; however, this time attach this card to the ends. In the end, your card should fold out to a boxlike, three-dimensional presentation.
