How to Clean Marble
Do you have marble that you want to clean but are not sure what to use? When you clean certain materials such as marble you must be extra careful. Things You'll Need
- Soft sponge
- Dish-washing liquid (no bleach)
- Water
- Soft clothe or towel
- Bowl or spray bottle

Mix a few drops of dish-washing liquid and warm water in a bowl or spray bottle. Make sure the spray bottle is clean before mixing the solution.

Saturate a sponge in the bowl of warm soapy water or spray the marble area using the spray bottle. Sponge the soapy water all over the marbled surface. Use a soft sponge to keep from scratching or etching the surface.

Rinse the sponge and then rinse the marble thoroughly with fresh warm water. Be sure to remove all soap residue from the marble. Run water over the sponge until it runs clear.

Rub the surface dry with a soft cloth or towel. Make sure the surface is completely dry before leaving the area.

Clean the marble as often as necessary.

Tips & Warnings
Be careful not to set objects on top of your marble that can be harmful to the surface.
Be mindful of acidic fruits and products containing alcohol.
Do not leave the marble to air dry.
