How to Create a Water Ripple
One of the most fun aspects of Photoshop is playing around with hues and gradients. The right combination of hues and gradients can create amazing colorful images like the hues that are found in ocean waters. These colors do a fantastic job teasing the eye. Play around with filters and create your own original eye candy.

To get the gradient blue, add a layer and set the blending mode to hard light. Go to "layer styles" in the layers window and select "gradient overlay." When determining the gradient type, double click the box on the left side of the color bar underneath and select one shade of blue. Then double-click the box on the other side and pick a different shade.
Tips & Warnings
Run the radial blur filter slightly to create smoother ripples.
