How to Make Earring Holders With Plastic Canvas

Plastic canvas has the perfect size holes to set pairs of earrings and pins into. You can easily make a holder that can hang on a bedroom wall or be set neatly into a jewelry box or drawer. Once you see how nice these holders are, you can make some for others on your gift lists for any occasion.

Things You'll Need

• Sheet of plastic canvas
• Scissors
• Large-eye needle
• Yarn or silk ribbon

Instructions

1. Cut plastic canvas into any shape you want. It is important to make sure you count the holes and keep the item evenly proportioned. Letters, a heart or a picture frame shape would work well for an earring holder. The hang tab can be left for your hanger if it is at the top of your shape.

2. 

   Thread needle with yarn. Embroider flowers, Smyrna cross or whatever you would like to decorate the piece with.

3. 

   Add leaves and stems to floral decor on the earring holder.

4. Completely outline the entire piece with the outline stitch. If there are corners, use three stitches per corner.

5. Add a piece of ribbon, yarn or string for a hanger.
