Step 1
Decide when you will visit based on Artpark’s schedule of events. The park is open year-round as a public park, but the scheduled arts events take place from May until September each year. See Resources below for Artpark’s most current schedule.
-
Step 2
If you plan to stay overnight in the area, book accommodations in advance. The Barton Hill Hotel & Spa is located in Lewiston and offers special packages on its website. The Lower Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce and Niagara USA Tourism offer additional accommodations as well (see Resources below).
-
Step 3
Purchase tickets to your event either ahead of time by phone or online. Tickets can also be purchased the day of a concert or show at the Artpark ticket box office. The Artpark box office can be reached at (716) 754-4375. Ticket prices will vary based on location within the Artpark Mainstage Theater.
-
Step 4
Plan to take a tour of Oak Hill and Richard's Marsh within Artpark. The tour is self-guided and takes visitors through the historical Oak Hill area. Those who walk this tour will view ancient Native American burial grounds, a resting spot along the Niagara Corridor for migrating birds and environmental artwork made by an artist in residence. The beauty of this outdoor exploration should not be missed when you visit Artpark.
-
Step 5
During the months that Artpark is not open for concerts and festivals, visit the outdoor portion of the park for its beauty. Adventurous visitors will find fishing, picnic areas and hiking trails. Look for scheduled Artpark Evening Strolls (in-season) which are free guided tours of Oak Hill and the Niagara River. All outdoor activities are also available during summer months.
