When crafting your wedding gift registry, spell out exactly what kinds of drinkware will suit your needs.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Look at the drinkware you use daily. A staple in most kitchen cupboards is a set of drinking glasses for meals, mid-day glasses for tea and middle-of-the-night coolers for milk, which usually hold between 16 and 18 ounces. Coolers should be especially sturdy. A dozen of these glasses will do the trick.

  2. Step 2

Double old-fashioned glasses are smaller than coolers and useful for juices or water. These should match the everyday glasses you added to your registry. Double old-fashioned glasses are often sold in sets with their larger counterparts.

  3. Step 3

If your cupboards are spacious enough to accommodate small juice glasses, you can add a matching set to your registry. However, if space is at a minimum, double old-fashioned glasses can serve as juice glasses.

  4. Step 4

Check to see if the dinnerware you registered for comes with mugs. You'll need about eight.

  5. Step 5

You may want to add wine glasses for both red and white varietals to your registry. Ten to 12 will do well.

  6. Step 6

Add any other types of drinkware that fit your needs. Specialty drink glasses like margarita glasses or brandy snifters are not necessities, but if you will use them, it won't hurt to put them on your list.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you are registering for an unusual type of drinkware, be sure to register for a few more than you'll need so that you will be assured replacements if one breaks.
